Cina Wong will be my first call

“There I was, in Court, outnumbered and facing two arguably qualified questioned document examiners. Luckily, I had Cina Wong in my corner. She was better qualified, better prepared and she had provided me with information which I could use to attack the credibility of the other experts. Her opinion and testimony were detailed, understandable, persuasive and accepted by the court over that of the other experts.

If I ever need the services of a questioned document examiner in the future, Cina Wong will be my first call.”

“I continue to regard you as the “gold standard” in your line of work and will continue to recommend you to others who can benefit from your services.”

Court Opinions

United States of America v. Arnold C. Carbarris and Sharon A. Edmonds
Criminal No. 3:98cr271
United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Richmond Division
1999 U. S. Dist. LEXIS 22094

Judge Robert E. Payne court appointed Cina L. Wong, a board-certified document examiner for this case. In Judge Payne’s opinion he writes:

“The Court ordered that the letter be submitted to a document examiner, Cina L. Wong, B.C.D.E, to ascertain whether the letter, specifically the ‘8’ in the year ‘1988’ had been altered subsequently to the writing of the letter.”

Bowman, et al. v Mericle, et al.
2005 Va. Cir. LEXIS 279
Norfolk Circuit Court
Norfolk, Virginia

The testimony of three handwriting experts was properly admitted. Of the three, the testimony of Cina L. Wong, a member of the National Association of Document Examiners, was found acceptable over the other two.

“The Commissioner light on the testimony given by expert document examiner Cina Wong (Tr. Pgs. 1028 -1106) to determine that the Letter Agreement was not a fraud or forgery. He was entitled to do this; all three expert witnesses testified before him. His decision to accept Wong’s testimony and to reject out of Farmer and Demonch is not plainly wrong.”

IndyMac Mortgage Holdings. Inc., et al. v. Almquist. Et al.
Civil Action No.: CL06003927
(Or. Ct. Alexandria VA 2008)

Cina Wong testified for plaintiff that a signature was false, which the purported signatory had denied writing. The court found for plaintiff.
